DARYZ Grön – Röd / Grön – 3-sp rygg.

Raced wide, towards rear, midfield over 3f out, good headway to lead 1f out, ridden and drifted right inside final furlong, kept on well

Was a shade keen early and despite being drawn low he ended up racing three wide. He overcame that disadvantage, though, running on strongly in the straight to repeat last year’s success in the race. He’s the ninth horse to win the Arc twice and the third this century, following Treve and Enable. It looks unlikely that he’ll stay in training and bid for a record third win, with stud duties calling. He hasn’t enjoyed his trips to Britain but in France he’s won nine of his ten starts, his only defeat coming by a short-head.
