   Högklassiga lopp på Irland idag och dagens spel hämtas från ett mycket intressant Grd1 lopp där det är tre hästar som höjer sig över mängden: JEZKI (3.50), Champagne Fever (2,25) och Minsk (3,75)

   JEZKI Har inlett säsongen med två raka hindersegrar på ett övertygande sätt och ser ut att hålla hög klass. Favoriten i loppet (Champagne Fever) slog (JEZKI) i ett bumperlopp förra året med 12 längder men jag tycker det finns en del som talar för att (JEZKI) skall kunna vända på ordningsföljden med dagens förutsättningar. Jag förväntar mig en bra insats från (JEZKI) och förhoppningsvis kan han tugga ner motståndarna den sista biten med en stark avslutning.

   The profiles of Jezki, Minsk and Zuzka are far from unappealing but it’s doubtful they possess the potential of Champagne Fever.

   James Pyman/Bank-Champagne Fever-01:05-Fairyhouse
   This former pointer won over 3m in that sphere but he has shown plenty of speed since joining Willie Mullins. The only blemish on an otherwise unbeaten record was on his debut for the trainer last season when he finished second in a Leopardstown bumper after running too keen. He won Champion bumpers at the festival and Punchestown this year with authority and was never really out of first gear when getting off the mark over hurdles at Cork last time. Conclusion Jezki and Minsk might get him off the bridle but I suspect he will pack more punch than those rivals in the closing stages. Back at odds-against.

   Dave Edwards-Minsk-01:05-Fairyhouse
   Wide-margin winner of the Irish Cesarewitch last year and placed in Listed grade twice this season. He found one too good on his hurdling bow in February but made amends at Punchestown last month. This is far tougher but he may be up to the task.

   Lawrence Taylor/Nap-Zuzka-01:05-Fairyhouse
   A small but competitive field for this two mile novices hurdle, with preference going to top-rated runner ZUZKA (nap), who beat a couple of solid yardsticks when successful at Limerick in October. Showing plenty of natural speed on that occasion, the mare will have no problem handling today’s drop back to two miles, or the predicted soft ground. Priced up at 12-1 on the best odds list, those odds look very generous indeed, given that she still has plenty more scope for improvement.

   On paper a top class renewal of this race and the paper won´t lie. JEZKI has done nothing but improve from the raw and lit-up bumper horse he was last season to the leading 2m novice hurdler he now is. This time they went a proper gallop for him.There were some early scares with his jumping, he hit the first and jumped left at a couple of them after that, but from halfway his jumping was straight and reasonably quick. It was the one chink his armour had displayed on his two previous starts but that now seems to have been sorted out. We already know about how well he travels and quickens and he did that arguably more impressively against these better horses, and as well as that he showed a bit of bottle as well. With the promise that better ground will suit him even more, he is clearly a leading player for the Supreme Novices´ Hurdle at this stage. Held up in touch, slight mistake 2nd, 4th halfway, closer approaching 3 out, effort on outer next, soon on terms and led last, kept on well under pressure towards finish, all out
